Questions
Things people often ask
Do you take insurance?+
Yes — I'm in-network with Aetna, Carelon, and Cigna through Headway, so many clients use their in-network benefits. Outside those plans, I offer private pay and can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement. Reach out and I'll help you figure out what applies to you.
How long are sessions, and how often will we meet?+
Individual sessions are 50 minutes. Most people begin weekly, which helps build momentum, and we adjust the frequency together as you progress.
What is EMDR, and how do I know if it's right for me?+
EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that helps your brain reprocess distressing memories so they lose their grip on the present. It's especially helpful for trauma, painful memories, and anxiety. We'd explore together whether it's a good fit — it's always your choice.
Do you offer online (telehealth) sessions?+
Yes — all of my sessions are held online, over secure video. You can meet with me from anywhere in New York, wherever you feel most at ease.
How do I get started?+
Just reach out through the contact form or by email. We'll set up a free 15-minute call, and go from there — no pressure at all.
Is everything I share confidential?+
Yes. What you share stays between us, with only a few legal exceptions I'll always be upfront about (like a serious risk of harm). Therapy is your private space.
